The Opportunity: We are seeking a Senior Data Developer with a strong background in data governance to join our growing team. You will own the governance foundation that underpins the MaintainX data platform, product and internal analytics, spanning quality, access, classification, discoverability, lineage, retention, and compliance. You will extend your influence across engineering systems and company-wide data sources, implementing frameworks, tooling, and policies that ensure the data ecosystem is well-governed at MaintainX. What You'll Do: - Own and evolve the data governance framework across the data platform, including quality, access, discoverability, retention, classification, residency, compliance, and lifecycle - Define and enforce data quality standards; build and maintain data contracts, automated quality checks and data observability tooling - Manage data access controls across the data platform (Unity Catalog, RBAC, row/column-level security, service principal management) - Own data retention and residency policies; implement lifecycle management - Build and maintain the metadata and catalog layer for data discoverability and lineage - Partner with other governance teams to translate compliance requirements into data
