Staff Attorney Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, United States Litigation Management and Execution: Independently manage all phases of litigation involving claims of moderate to heavy value ( $250,000 exposure and more). Conduct comprehensive legal research, draft precise pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Lead settlement negotiations and participate in hearings, trials, and mediations to achieve optimal case outcomes. Litigation Support: independently direct the course of litigation and work with claims handlers in strategic analysis of trial strategy Legal Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and continuously refine advanced legal strategies for discovery, investigation, and trial preparation. Technology Utilization: Employ advanced e-discovery tools, case management systems, and data analysis software to streamline workflows and reduce costs. Follow office and staff legal department protocols and work flows Client Advisory and Relationship Management: Provide clear, well-reasoned legal opinions and strategic advice to clients and Claims Representatives. Build and sustain trusted relationships by understanding client operations and legal challenges. Risk Evaluation and Mitigation: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks associated with cases in collaboration with clients and senior attorneys. Training, Mentoring, and Leadership: Design and conduct training sessions and workshops for Legal, Claims, and related departments.
