What Drives Success Under general direction, perform general preventative maintenance and simple repairs on manufacturing machines and mechanical equipment. Performs maintenance service and repairs. Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Inspects drives, motors, and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, or performs other maintenance actions, following checklists. Inspects, operates, and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Provides work leadership for lower level maintenance mechanics through assignment of work. Provides technical guidance and review of assignment progress. May involve repair of electrical systems. What We Are Looking For Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent
