Buyer Planner West Hartford, CT, US Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer/Planner to join the Wiremold Team in West Hartford, CT. Responsible for the Buying and Planning of all finished items. Main Job Duties: · Analyzes the finished item forecast (and other independent requirements) from Marketing. Coordinates forecast changes and deviations with the Forecast Manager and marketing team. · Uses various planning tools to set inventory target levels and delivers releases to suppliers to maintain target levels. ( Safety Stock ) · Work with the purchasing group on supplier performance in the area of service. · Acts as the liaison between Marketing, Customer Service, and Suppliers. · Acts as the initial contact for Customer Service inquiries. · Monitors supplier deliveries to the plan and takes corrective action where necessary. · Identifies, reports and/or resolves back-orders and stock outs, depleted safety stock, and related stock issues, · Manages orders for non-stocked items, schedule attainment, customer returned items, scrapped items, inventory plan performance, fill rate compliance. · Monitors and controls the deviations made in the engineering data base. (i.e., substitutions, changes in usage, errors, etc.) · Performs other similar and related duties as required. Qualifications Education : BS in Business, Operations Management or related or equivalent combination of education and experience. An APICS certification of CPIM and/or CPM certification is desired.
