Overview The Transportation Analyst plays a key role in optimizing Kubota's transportation network by improving planning methods, enhancing system performance, and driving cost and service improvements. This role leverages advanced analytics within TMS/OTM, manages key transportation metrics, partners cross‑functionally to resolve issues, and contributes to carrier performance management and rate negotiations. What You'll Do Use Transportation Management Systems (TMS/OTM) to plan, tender, execute, and track shipments. Analyze logistics data to identify efficiency opportunities and improve transportation methods. Monitor carrier performance and costs, recommending actions to improve service and reduce spend. Prepare and maintain transportation reports, KPIs, and carrier scorecards. Collaborate with internal teams, carriers, and vendors to resolve issues and support daily operations. Conduct cost‑benefit analyses and provide data‑driven recommendations for process improvements. Maintain documentation, SOPs, and routing guide updates. Support carrier rate negotiations and participate in performance review calls. Optimize load planning in OTM by adjusting planning parameters and evaluating routing performance. Provide rotating after‑hours support for urgent transportation issues. Work primarily from Grapevine, TX, with regional flexibility based on business needs.
