Performs all work efficiently and meets the company's established procedures, quality standards, safety standards and best practice. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for daily and weekly scheduling of team members to complete daily lay-up tasks which may include assigning individuals to different product teams. Works closely with Department Manager to maintain daily and weekly production schedule for the lay up area. Works closely with Manufacturing Manager to monitor team performance of schedule adherence and established policies and procedures. Oversees the daily activities of the team in manager's absence. When needed, performs lay-up manufacturing tasks using a variety of industrial equipment. Assists in controlling the inventory of other consumable materials used in layup room. Assists the Cell Leader in maintaining freezer inventory levels of prepreg material, film adhesives and other materials used in lay-up procedures. Assists in new and ongoing training of team members. Participates in regular meetings with team to elicit ideas for process improvements, cost reduction and problem solving. Assists in managing the organization and daily cleaning of the lay-up work area and the regular preventative maintenance of all associated equipment including the storage and maintenance of mold tools.
