Technical skills required in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, and production equipment with a strong focus on bearing manufacturing processes. Working with personnel from manufacturing, maintenance, set-up and engineering, the manufacturing engineer must be able to improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency. Essential Duties and Accountabilities: Provide technical support for existing equipment and processes in a manufacturing environment to ensure optimum efficiency is achieved. Design and development of tooling, mechanisms, and equipment for use in metalworking in manufacturing processes Perform standard analysis, calculations, and generate drawings, as required in product engineering designs. Independently manage multiple projects and activities to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement goals while meeting planned deadlines. Support of other engineers in solving problems associated with manufacturing new or existing products. Requires the ability to interact and work with associates at multiple skill levels throughout the organization. Provide engineering support in area of scrap reduction, productivity improvements utilizing Lean tools, machine builds, and quality improvements.
