Aircraft Painter- Experienced Marina, CA, US Company Overview Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service. Responsibilities Paint Application using HVLP and Electro-Static paint systems Equipment Set Up and Maintenance Maintaining 6S principles of Sorting, Systematic Arrangement, Shining, Standardizing, Sustaining and Safety Surface Preparation Detailed Masking Application of base coats, top coats, and clear coats The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work with little to no Supervision. Performs moderately complex to complex filling operations related to the cosmetic appearance of the part being worked Removes excess material and prepares the surface for finishing Performs difficult masking operations Documents the work performed on the work orders Seeks methods to cross train to develop technical skills and business Knowledge Polishes and waxes finished surfaces by cutting and buffing finished surfaces Required High School diploma or GED equivalent 3-5 years Aircraft Painting Experience or similar Requires excellent communication skills Ability to work fr
