About this role
Advanced SQL Database Administrator Dallas, Texas, United States Our Company: ISN was established in 2001 and is a global leader in contractor and supplier management. We work closely with a variety of household-name clients in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Latin America, and the Middle East to connect them with safe and reliable contractors and suppliers and incorporate a level of due diligence in the contractor management process. The Position: The Advanced Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining ISN's SQL Servers and SQL Databases (both virtual machine-based and cloud-based), Azure Cosmos DB, migrating IaaS-based workloads and systems to PaaS/SaaS, helping development teams with deployments, and helping maintain uptime for ISN's application environments. ISN has multiple large web applications written in ASP. Net, and the DBA team supports over 300 individual SQL Server databases in Production environments. This position is responsible for maintaining the environment, supporting and maintaining the SQL Server databases, and promptly responding to the ISN Products team's requests for tuning, optimization, and other database support. Who should apply? - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience - Azure certifications are strongly preferred (AZ-900, DP-300) - 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting SQL Server availability issues related to clustering, Always On, SQL replication - 3+ years of experience managing SQL jobs, including database maintenance jobs (backups, index maintenance) - 1+ years of experience in administering SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines - 1+ years of experience in administering and supporting
