The Functional Safety Engineer (FSE) at indie plays a key role within our design organization and is central to our automotive safety culture. In this position, the FSE leads and advocates for the functional safety lifecycle across projects, ensuring our designs and processes meet all relevant automotive safety standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyze top-level safety requirements and safety goals at the stakeholder level • Develop technical safety concepts and technical safety requirements for products • Work with the System Architect to refine system architecture and detailed safety mechanism descriptions • Derive hardware (HW) and software (SW) safety requirements from technical safety requirements • Collaborate with design teams to define effective technical solutions that achieve system, HW, and SW robustness in compliance with functional safety standards • Create safety analysis work products (System FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFA, etc.) • Monitor safety verification and validation activities • Support customer inquiries and reviews related to
