Training Specialist - Disaster Recovery, Housing and Community Development (REMOTE ROLE) Reston, VA TRAINING SPECIALIST - DISASTER RECOVERY, HOUSING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ICF's Justice, Workforce, Preparedness & Community Development group works to improve Americans' lives through strategic consulting support, technical assistance, product development, and program implementation. We are seeking a TRAINING SPECIALIST candidate to join the Housing and Community Development team at ICF who is enthusiastic about solving social issues related to disaster recovery, community development, and building the capacity of state, territorial, and local governments to administer disaster recovery programs. ICF seeks a Disaster Recovery Training and Subject-Matter Expert to be an integral member of our multidisciplinary team in providing training, developing training materials, and contributing to product development and capacity building efforts for the U.S. Housing and Urban Development as part of the Community Compass Technical Assistance program. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning experience s that build the capacity of recipients of Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds. This role specializes in developing and delivering trainings and facilitating learning engagements, combining deep subject matter expertise in disaster recovery programs with strong instructional design and facilitation skills. We are seeking a proactive team player who will be responsible for developing training materials and products, conducting trainings (both virtual and in-person) and who can support a range of technical assistance engagements, providing direct guidance to grantees through a variety of learning environments.
