This role is critical to advancing our aerospace and associated technologies through research, concept development, and prototyping (TRL3 to TRL6 typically). The successful candidate will contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of next-generation aerospace systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge solutions from concept to reality. Honeywell Honeywell Aerospace products and services are used on virtually every commercial, defense, and space aircraft. We build aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity systems, mechanical components. Our hardware and software solutions help create more fuel-efficient aircraft, more direct and on-time flights and safer skies. Responsibilities Key responsibilities Support projects in sensor technologies, life support systems, and environmental control systems. Conduct feasibility studies on emerging aerospace technologies and materials. Develop and validate innovative concepts through prototyping and testing. Assist with project management, including monitoring supplier performance and reporting to program management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate R&D outputs into product development. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, with some travel required to support projects in the UK, Europe, and the USA. Qualifications Key skills and qualifications A minimum of an HNC/HND in mechatronics or related engineering field.
