The largest supplier of U.S. Navy surface combatants, we're simultaneously building four classes of ships and have pioneered the development and production of technologically advanced, highly capable ships for the surface Navy fleet for decades. Think that's cool? Keep reading: The Role Fabricates and installs a variety of sheet metal such as ductwork, venting systems, main engine exhaust, metal containers and instrumentation panels. Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, and other specifications, using shop mathematics. Must Have Requires a minimum of four (4) years of sheetmetal experience or related craft experience in joiner, shipfitting, and/or carpentry. Nice to Have Prefer candidates with the ability to set up and operate a variety of sheetmetal machines such as brakes and shears, pass a skill assessment test, ability to read marine blueprints, and work from standard and metric specifications.
