Senior Software Engineer, Backend Remote - United States About the Senior Software Engineer, Backend at Headspace: Headspace is on a mission to provide every person access to lifelong mental health support . We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Platform group. This role is crucial for building out the core capabilities required to onboard and grow our B2B customer installations. These capabilities include authentication, payments, entitlements, and shared services across our B2B and direct-to-consumer customers. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in prototyping, architecting, and coding across our Typescript/Node.js and Python/Django services. You'll have significant opportunities to shape and own projects, author and review technical specifications, and pinpoint areas for improvement in our products and tech stack. We are seeking a highly skilled web engineer who can help build the next generation of care provider experience. What you will do: - Lead projects from requirements gathering through implementation, collaborating closely with product, design, and data engineering stakeholders to identify problems and opportunities. - Contribute to and influence the evolution of overall system architecture and quality of our core platform services - Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional partners to define, design, ship, and monitor new features while ensuring robust testing and quality standards. Effectively communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and keep stakeholders informed and aligned - Apply your passion for user experience and technical expertise to design and build high impact user workflows - Set the standard for quality
