Aircraft Maintenance Tech 1 Mesa, AZ in Unique Skills: Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) or FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. Valid Driver's License required. Position Purpose: Under close supervision, perform or assist with various functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Perform basic aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Perform assigned maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems. Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems. Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner. Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications. Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
