About this role
SENIOR NEWS PRODUCER - WCTV WCTV - Station WCTV is searching for a Senior Producer to lead our dayside producing team. You'll know the mechanics of producing compelling, happening-now newscasts. The right candidate will work side by side with veteran journalists. S/he will be responsible for producing our most-watched evening newscast. As a newsroom, we break news on our website, push it on social, and add emotion and perspective on television. As a Senior Producer, you'll roll up your sleeves to help us succeed. This is more than show-stacking. To qualify, you must demonstrate that you know the basics. You'll also need to understand writing for the ear rather than the eye, and how to write for your video. You must know how to select stories, stack a rundown, and time in the booth.
