Principal Engineer, Android Applications, Search Experience Mountain View, CA, USA; +2 more The Search Experience team is responsible for building and maintaining an amazingly useful Search user interface across every client, from desktop Chrome to our Android Google app. We are reinventing the Search experience from the ground up with new AI capabilities like AI Overviews, conversations in AI Mode, and generative UI to help users synthesize huge amounts of information, make sense of complex topics, and make progress on difficult tasks. The team runs extensive live experiments, technical metric and feedback analysis, and UXR evaluations to continually optimize our product for our users. Our Android Google app is one of the premier entry points to the Google product, and one of the top apps in the App Store. It creatively uses Android app capabilities and Google technology to make common user journeys efficient and delightful and to enable new use cases like multimodal search and organizing long running information journeys. The Search technical lead team is a small group of our most senior engineers with decades of experience building innovative products at scale. They serve as cross-functional advisors and technical decision-makers on the most strategic and complex problems in Search, integrating requirements and priorities ranging from product goals to client reliability, and server capacity to UX excellence.
