As a member of the team, you have a direct impact on design and feature enhancements to keep our systems running smoothly. You also ensure that network operations are safe and efficient by monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components and responding to network connectivity issues. Google's complex network generates a constant stream of challenges which require you to continually be innovative with an evolving set of technologies. Who we are, we are a group of network development engineers responsible for break/fix firefighters for Google transport and peers infrastructure, simply we are maintaining the roads, bridge, sidewalk and tunnels so that users have reliable services all the time. As an Operations Engineer, your priority is not just to manage the operational events and maintain our Service Level Objective (SLOs)/services but also to try to stop it from happening again. If you cannot stop it from happening, you will minimize the efforts needed to manage it by expanding our boundaries and learning new technologies as you go and use those new technologies as a team multiplier.
