About this role
Director, Economic Community and Workforce Development New York, NY, USA; +2 more As the Director of Economic Community and Workforce Development, you'll combine your market and tech industry knowledge to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll build and execute economic development strategies, drive infrastructure labor and workforce development programs, work with industry peers, and present strategies to executive leadership. You'll advocate for Google and the data center industry while identifying and addressing industry trends. In this role, you will help to drive location strategy, site selection, and portfolio management for new and existing data center sites and related infrastructure around the world. You will primarily lead the development of the company's global economic development program for data centers. You'll work closely with a network of internal stakeholders and strategic vendors to support the growth of Google's products and services, and provide the infrastructure that will help expand the company's global reach. You will lead business discussions with key stakeholders. Your knowledge of economic development, compliance, relationship and coalition building, policy and regulation, and company goals will position you to be an advocate for development and management of the global data center portfolio. You will embed community and workforce development best practices within a rapidly expanding organization, serving as a subject matter expert on WFD delivery, strategic community engagement, and labor market opportunities for data center communities.
