Why This Role Matters As a Performance Test Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance for our vehicles and virtual testing environments. Your contributions directly impact the improvement of vehicle performance and help shape the future of automotive testing. By executing detailed tests and providing valuable feedback, you will be an integral part of a team committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and safety in the automotive industry. What You'll Do Perform and evaluate performance tests (objective, subjective, treadwear support) in the respective area (passenger, light truck). Prepare the vehicle and test environment: check and set up test conditions according to work instructions, manage tire mounting, and ensure proper vehicle maintenance and instrumentation. Execute tests on time, following instructions from the lead engineer/test scheduler, and provide timely support with tire changes when needed to maintain operations.
