Manager of Planning - Program & Scheduling Groton, CT, US Overview General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of Nuclear Submarines is seeking an Advance Planning Manager to take part in building the most complex product in the world. The Manager of Advance Planning (Program Scheduling) is responsible for leading, overseeing, and optimizing Electric Boat's planning and scheduling processes to ensure the efficient and timely execution of current and future construction programs. Reporting to the Director of Program Planning, the Advance Planning (AP) manager leads a team of planning professionals, collaborating with multiple organizations, to develop and manage comprehensive program construction schedules that align to the company's strategic business objectives. The AP organization provides mission-critical support for EB leadership, program management teams, and functional organizations by providing/validating project management schedule build and test sequence accuracy, management and analysis of construction schedules, and proactive schedule risk and opportunity advisement. This selected candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to AP groups supporting completion of the HARTFORD (SSN-768) Engineered Overhaul (EOH) program, strategic outsourcing of VIRGINIA Class and COLUMBIA Class major products at key focus factory partners, and Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) support.
