Technician IV General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting opportunity as an Engineering Technician within the Prototype Integration team at the ASI Division. This position is located in Poway, CA. The Prototype Integration team develops various aircraft peripherals and prototype systems such as RF sensors, information processing subsystems and podded payloads. This position performs or assists in fabrication, modification, assembly, installation, operations, repair and maintenance of moderately complex assemblies, experimental and prototype equipment. Consults on the design of equipment or tests. Sets up and conducts moderately complex experiments and tests. Records and summarizes data. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Fabricates, assembles, modifies, and installs electronic equipment, experimental assemblies, or commercial hardware of moderate complexity. - Utilizes electrical and RF theory to troubleshoot basic circuits and electronic systems. - Operates a variety of electronic test equipment. - Sets up moderately complex experiments and/or tests; checks out and calibrates equipment prior to experimentation and data acquisition; conducts tests and experiments following operating procedures. - Identifies operation or equipment problems and reports deficiencies. - Maintains and repairs equipment using basic hand and specialized tools. - Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. - Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. - Works in
