About this role
Project Manager I General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting opportunity located in Poway, CA for an experienced Project Manager to join our DHS/CBP team in Poway, CA. This position will report to a senior program manager. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage all phases of the program(s) sustainment efforts from initiation through closure, including but not limited to spares analysis and initiating purchase requests, purchase orders, sales orders, and engineering/manufacturing service requests. - Influence, and coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract(s). Influence contract acquisitions, negotiations, and modifications. - Perform continual review of program sustainment status, expenditures, and forecasts to complete on time and within budget. - Coordinate with departmental and/or cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks focused on sustaining the DHS/CBP fleet of aircraft and ground control stations. - Collaborate with Engineering to manage Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and obsolescence issues, including Bill of Material (BOM) reviews, end-of-life analyses, and last time buys. - Assess and address project issues as they arise and identify mitigation plans. - Develop sustainment review packages for assigned projects and brief project(s) during monthly internal reviews and customer briefings, as well as bi-annual Technical and Logistics Reviews. - Interpret and administer policies, processes, and procedures that impact project(s). -
