About this role

Govt Regulatory Compliance Spec IV General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. Under limited supervision, this position provides expert-level support for DFARS Business System compliance across a broad scope of activities, including audit readiness, regulatory compliance initiatives, and complex special projects. The role serves as a trusted advisor to DFARS Business System stakeholders and senior leadership, interpreting complex regulatory requirements, assessing compliance impacts, and recommending practical, risk-based solutions aligned with business objectives. The position partners closely with external auditors and government agencies (e.g., DCAA and DCMA) to support Business System reviews, audits, and corrective action efforts, while proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance gaps and risks. Responsibilities include supporting internal control testing activities, driving the development and execution of remediation strategies, preparing audit deliverables, and supporting Business System reviews and sustainment activities. This role contributes to the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and controls to meet regulatory requirements and business objectives. Success in this position requires strong critical thinking and analytical skills, sound judgment, project management capabilities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, evolving regulatory environment.
