Engineering Manager III General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join the RF/Antenna Engineering group. The successful candidate will lead a small team of talented RF engineers engaged in the development of antennas and antenna systems supporting a variety of programs. Major areas include functional leadership, mentoring and oversight, process development and enforcement, interfacing with program management and senior leadership. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of RF engineers and technologists focused on innovative solutions. - Collaborate closely with program managers to maintain engineering support of a wide variety of active projects. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training, performance management, and cross-departmental collaboration. - Develop and refine processes to ensure engineering rigor, design review, and proper documentation. - Lead the evaluation of software tools and test equipment. - Participate in the development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities. - Develop proposal content such as technical volumes and cost volumes. - Serve as the primary technical liaison with senior management, regulatory bodies, external partners, and suppliers. - Present project progress, strategic opportunities, and risk assessments to various stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and effective decision-making. - Perform as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for company-wide RF-related concerns. - Perform as an individual contributor as required.
