General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS' expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide. We are currently hiring a Senior RF Design Engineer who will be a key member within the GA-EMS Radar Technologies group. In this capacity, the Senior RF Design Engineer will lead RF designs and trade studies in support of new air and ground-based designs. The Senior RF Design Engineer will report to the Manager of Hardware Engineering within the Radar Technologies group. DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES: - Simulate and design RF circuits and subsystems for future air and ground-based systems including Transmit/Receive modules, up and down converters, and RF beamforming networks - Develop and maintain RF design requirements from high-level system performance specifications - Perform design trade studies including gain, output power, noise figure, cost, ease of manufacturing, etc. - Perform bench-level evaluation and troubleshooting of RF designs and subsystems - Collaborate with the Hardware, Software, and Systems engineering teams to drive development of subsystems and assemblies - Represent the company at technical reviews, meetings and formal design reviews - Stay current
