Engineer VI General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. The Agile Mission Systems (AMS) at GA-ASI in San Diego, CA is a growing center of excellence seeking a high-performing technical expert and Information Systems design and deployment Project Engineer. Through this role, the candidate will be responsible for highly technical hands on design, development, build and deployment of Ground and Air Mission Systems that support AMS customers worldwide. This Engineer will work in a collaborative environment with other stakeholders within the company to ensure highly capable systems are deployed with repeatable processes, focused on customer requirements, cyber compliance and network interoperability. With limited direction, this position exercises considerable latitude for initiating and developing designs, procedures, techniques and solution to resolving advanced technical engineering problems. Assignments are normally outlined in terms of broad specifications, objectives, possible results anticipated and critical reference points requiring special attention. Guides the successful resolution of engineering problems, serves as a consulting resource of engineering knowledge, applies the latest technological advancements to the problem, and will function in a project leadership role.
