Engineer V General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. As a leader in the Propulsion Systems Team, you will have the opportunity to lead design and test efforts of a wide array of innovative propulsion system solutions that directly impact the success of our customers. In this role you would lead, empower, and help technically guide a team of engineers and engineering designers to define and execute creative solutions to engaging engineering challenges in a wide array of propulsion related products and systems. These include, but are not limited to, various engine installations, core diesel engine design, gearbox systems, fuel systems, oil systems, and propeller control systems. Functioning in a technical and leadership role, you will have the opportunity to plan, execute, and lead innovative projects and supervise a team of direct reports, to meet a wide array of customer goals and requirements. Duties & Responsibilities: - This position typically reports to a technical manager and is responsible for the planning, managing and technical performance of one or more engineering unit(s). - Support and/or lead the design, analysis, testing, integration, manufacturing, and fielding of various types of aircraft propulsion systems, including piston engines, turbine engines, propellers, fuel systems, oil systems, and related components.
