About this role

Engineer V General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a provider of military and commercial engineering services. GA-SI is a leading-edge expert in systems integration technologies, reliability improvements, and controls system design. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a MQ-9A support engineer at MCAS Cherry Point in North Carolina. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for providing on-site expertise in identifying issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolving questions beyond standard maintenance procedures and documentation available to the Fleet. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with the GA-ASI MQ-9A Engineering team in Poway, CA and with NAVAIR/USMC MQ-9A personnel at MCAS. - Interact on technical matters with MQ-9A fleet personnel, NAVAIR engineers, and the GA-ASI Engineering disciplines in Poway CA on a daily basis. Technical matters include but are not limited to: MQ-9 airframe, propulsion, electrical system, software, data links, and ground control segment. - May assume technical and engineering responsibility of the success of an identifiable project. - Directs activities of design or technical staff and may lead a team of moderately experienced professional staff. - Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. - Performs other duties as assigned. - Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. - Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified
