Engineer V General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting opportunity leading weapons integration efforts from cradle to grave across GA-ASI unmanned platforms as a Project Engineer in our Agile Mission Systems (AMS) group. Develop solutions to real world problems tied directly to current events and get to see your effort have immediate impacts for the warfighter. Along with integration the team owns and provides solutions across the Stores Management System including pylons, launchers, electrical systems, control computers, and provides input into targeting solutions and kill chain development to support weapons effects. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead a group of varied engineering functions developing solutions to enable carriage and release of munitions and Air Launched Effects (ALEs) - Responsible for program technical decisions as the system architect - Support all test phases including live fire events and system troubleshooting as the program's subject matter expert - Opportunity to join in on proposals and white-paper development creating novel solutions for requests directly from the warfighter and future capabilities/platforms envisioned by a forward-thinking executive management team - Interface with operators/end-user, executive management, program management, acquisition customer, vendors, engineering teams, and flight operations to field new capabilities - Lead, develop, and present material at technical meetings and design reviews - Project Engineering duties also consist of leading the development of program plans, estimates, schedules, system
