About this role
Engineer IV General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting opportunity for an Integrated Hardware Design Supervisor within the ASI Division located in Poway, CA. This position will support routed cable harness design, manufacturing support, cable integration, and work among peers in a team environment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervise and direct the work of the EE Integrated Hardware Design Engineers and Designers and oversee their output for throughput and quality. - Plan and schedule work assignments for the team. Monitor project schedules, timelines and deliverables using standard project management tools and related engineering systems. - Provide leadership and act as an advisor for determining engineering objectives, guide project planning, oversee design reviews, technical assessments, and design control documentation. - Responsible for the design and integration of routed cables for aircraft, GCS, GSE, and payloads used in unmanned air vehicle systems. - Provides supervision and direction to design or technical staff. - Designing of cables and wire harnesses that interconnect electronic equipment within the vehicle. - Responsible for generating 3D models of routed cables, cable assembly drawings, cable lengths, routing details, and cable BOMs. - Responsible for oversight of cable integrations to ensure cables are routed as designed. - Applies basic technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve assigned routine engineering problems. - Develops appropriate documentation of findings and implemented solutions and
