About this role

Engineer IV General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. General Atomics Survivability group has an exciting position available for an IR Designer and Analyst to support Infrared (IR) analysis and design support across a variety of platforms. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Significant experience in modeling and analyzing IR signature and design optimization. - Assist in design development and iteration with other functional IPT stakeholders to meet LO requirements. - Support the development and validation of IR test methodology. Will require the identification of acceptable measurement tools and development of processes. - Perform IR analysis using industry standard tools - Generate performance assessments, risk identification and mitigation recommendations for GA developed designs. - Familiarity with state of the art materials. - Provide program planning and technical leadership to IRAD and CRAD projects targeting development and implementation of Survivability technologies. - Ensure compliance, reporting, and safety standards are maintained. Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures. - Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
