Engineer I General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting career opportunity for an Electrical Integration Engineer working in our Electrical Engineering group in Poway, CA. Engineers will support their sub-assembly design through manufacturing, initial testing, integration onto the physical aircraft and work among peers in a team environment, all within Poway. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for the electrical Integration of avionics module and payloads into unmanned air vehicle systems. - Designing of cables and wire harnesses that interconnect electronic equipment within the vehicle. - Responsible for generating system cable interconnect diagrams, point-to-point cable wiring schematics, cable lengths, routing details, and cable BOM. - Responsible for integration tests to verify functional operation. - Responsible for generating test fixtures and test procedures for system level test. - Applies basic technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve assigned routine engineering problems. - Familiar with applicable airworthiness and military standards. - Develops appropriate documentation of findings and implemented solutions, and communicates results to project engineering staff. - Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. - Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
