Senior Quality Engineer Miramar, Florida Overview We are seeking a full-time Senior Quality Engineer at our Miramar, FL location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and project planning for multiple NPI projects and continuous improvement activities, meetings and teams. Essential Functions Serves in a technical leadership capacity for multiple products in development/NPI projects and conducts APQP activities as needed Organizes and leads continuous improvement activities, meetings, and teams Monitors performance and conducts audits (supplier, product and/or processes) Ensures timely resolution of supplier failures, corrective and preventive actions Creates, updates and maintain quality system documentation Represents the quality department in ECO approval process and serves as a member of the Material Review Board and/or Supplier Review Board Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system Conducts conformity inspections to support the ODA and customers Makes substantial contributions toward determination of project goal/objective feasibility Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced Quality Engineers (1 & 2) Contributes to advanced technical research on new processes and technologies Independently determines general approach and specific solutions to technical problems and works proactively and effectively with minimal supervision Demonstrates good judgment in setting schedules/risk taking Offers many suggestions to improves processes and authors new procedures as appropriate Provides reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems using sound problem-solving techniques Exemplifies Garmin's Mission Statement and Quality Policy and proactively works to improve Garmin's image and culture Cleanliness zone area requirements: This position requires Garmin provided personal protective equipment
