About this role
Senior Buyer Indirect Materials and Services Olathe, Kansas Overview We are seeking a full-time Senior Buyer Indirect Materials and Services at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the acquisition, negotiation, and execution of major agreements for complex materials and services. Essential Functions Understand the various needs, strategies and objectives of their customers and suppliers affected by the agreements Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process from supplier sourcing, RFP creation, analysis and award Establish and manage an effective process for obtaining required departmental input on agreement requirements and issues Review and analyze major non-standard agreements provided by suppliers Conduct gap analysis and recommendations to management for any discrepancies Interface with Legal Department to review agreement terms and any legal issues in agreements and obtain Legal Department's approval or recommendation prior to management acceptance or approval of the agreement Facilitate meetings and activities for any open actions as related to the approved agreements Seek consensus and closure from internal customers on the action list and gap closure plan Review agreements, addenda and renewals and provide updates/summaries to management on the changes Support Global Sourcing Team as needed on global agreements Prepare cost analysis relating to agreements and their impact on the business Develop, negotiate, and administer agreements, including negotiation of specifications, statement of work, price, delivery and other provisions with suppliers and subcontractors Knowledge of department processes and procedures, work instructions and training requirements for the Purchasing Department in
