The Hospital Support Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our team by helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient hospital while ensuring pets in our care are comfortable and well looked after. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animals, take pride in their work, and enjoy being part of a collaborative, fast-paced team. This is a temporary, seasonal position based on hospital needs. What You'll Do - Provide daily care for pets staying in our hospital and lodge, including feeding, walking, and monitoring comfort and well-being - Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kennels, runs, and lodging areas - Clean and maintain grooming bathtubs, grooming areas, floors, and kennels - Perform routine cleaning and maintenance throughout the hospital, including laundry, disinfecting surfaces, waste removal, and restocking supplies - Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments in accordance with hospital protocols - Safely transport patients between departments as needed - Assist with yard clean-up and maintaining the exterior appearance of the hospital - Support veterinary technicians and doctors with patient handling and non-medical tasks - Assist other departments as needed, including reception and grooming - Help maintain an organized, efficient flow throughout the hospital - Observe and report any changes in patient
