About this role
Solar Technician I - Ray Ranch Solar Site Country United States What You Can Expect As a Solar Technician I, you will support the operation and maintenance of solar power facilities at the Ray Ranch Solar Site located in Goliad, TX by performing entry-level technical tasks. You will assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining photovoltaic inverters, solar panel systems and related equipment. Your work will involve using digital tools such as SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders, document activities, and ensure accurate reporting. You will also be a part of an on-call rotation for outages and emergencies; therefore, you must reside within 80 miles of the site. Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include, but Are Not Limited to: Filling out permits to work, job safety plans (JSPs), lock-out tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and performing last minute risk assessments. Under the supervision of senior level technicians, perform basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on photovoltaic inverters, solar panels and tracking systems, and other related solar plant equipment. Operate standard hand tools and electrical testing equipment (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, battery powered drills/impacts, multimeters, amp clamps) Complete ENGIE's Qualified Electrical Worker Competency Skills test, which requires you to adequately demonstrate the application of safety critical tasks when working with AC/DC electricity (hot-cold-hot testing, proper PPE use, application of cluster grounds).
