About this role
Engineer IV Country United States What You Can Expect As our Senior Controls Engineer, you will support and maintain critical industrial control systems across utility and power generation assets, with primary focus on the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant at The Ohio State University. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving control systems including PLCs, distributed control systems (DCS), industrial networks, and historian platforms. The position requires a self-directed engineer capable of supporting real-time operations, commissioning activities, and long-term system reliability. This position participates in on-call rotation and may require support outside normal business hours. This role will report to the Automation Manager. You will: Support day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems across CHP and utility assets Maintain and optimize Rockwell PlantPAx DCS, Allen-Bradley PLCs, and FactoryTalk applications Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and field instrumentation Support commissioning, startup, and system integration activities Maintain historian systems (eDNA, AVEVA PI), ensuring data integrity and interface reliability Collaborate with operations, maintenance, IT/OT teams, and third-party vendors Support industrial network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC) Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and ENGIE OT policies Develop and maintain t
