Congestion Trading Director_TRPC1N Country United States What You Can Expect The Power Congestion Director will lead ENGIE Energy Marketing North America's power congestion trading activities, with responsibility for strategy, market-making, risk management, and performance optimization across ISO/RTO congestion markets (with a primary focus on PJM and other relevant ISOs). This role combines senior trading leadership with hands-on deployment of fundamental, nodal-based strategies, ensuring alignment with ENGIE's trading best practices, risk governance, and zero-carbon objectives. The position sits in Houston and reports to VP Trading Gas and Power Trading & Market Leadership Serve as the senior market-maker and subject-matter expert for power congestion markets, providing liquidity, insight, and market access to internal and external stakeholders. Lead the development, deployment, and optimization of nodal trading strategies using ISO congestion products across relevant time horizons. Manage congestion trading risk within approved limits, ensuring disciplined risk management and compliance with ENGIE policies. Communicate trading decisions, drivers, and performance clearly and timely to senior stakeholders. Strategy, Analytics & Optimization Develop and oversee a systematic, fundamentals-based analytics framework for congestion trading.
