Job Summary Directs and supervises the repair and maintenance of substation electrical equipment, switches, and pole/padmount transformers, including testing, painting mechanical repairs, and cosmetic repairs for multiple business units. Ensures proper safety and work procedures are followed. Manages logistic operations related to material planning, material requests, and bills of materials for support of electrical equipment refurbishments for all of Electric T&D. Facilitates, through software systems, the identification and retirement of old and obsolete transformers and switches. Prepares documentation for Property Accounting, to remove retired units from Dominion books for tax purposes. Supervises sorting and classification of received material, to increase dollar return on recycling and scrap sales by sorting, counting, removing oil, and general cleaning. Maintains equipment inventory, including retired, repaired, spare parts, and tools. Manages testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical and protective line equipment. Supervises material ordering and invoice reconciliation. Hires contractor services to perform work outside of the sc
