Government Information Specialist (Senior FOIA Reviewer) Washington, District of Columbia Summary This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence - Office of Foreign Assets Control. As a Government Information Specialist (Senior FOIA Reviewer), you will independently review requests, review responsive records, determine the applicability of FOIA and Privacy Act (PA) exemptions, ensure exemption codes are properly annotated, appropriately redact records, and review and prepare responses to requestors, submitters and other agencies. Duties As a Government Information Specialist (Senior FOIA Reviewer), you will: Process FOIA/PA cases from inception to completion with little to no supervision Keep track of time spent on FOIA and PA case processing for the purpose of reporting upon completion of a case and for OFAC's annual report Coordinate with other Treasury Bureaus and Offices and other federal agencies concerning the disclosure of information with OFAC equities in other agency's records Requirements Key Requirements: Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period. During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. You will not automatically convert to permanent status at the end of the probationary (or trial) period. Your supervisor must affirmatively determine that continued employment is in the best interest of the Federal service.
