About this role

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees. Duties Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of 1 Special Operations Force Support Squadron, ensuring geographically separated Child Development and Youth Programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities across geographically separated Training and Curriculum Specialists within Child and Youth Programs. Determines, develops, arranges for, conducts, and oversees individual and program-wide training needs in early childhood and youth development and related activities for all child development center staff, family child care providers, school-age program staff, youth program staff and volunteers, management, administrative staff, custodial contractors, food service staff, and staff working in any unique settings for children. Represents installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with installations Family Advocacy, Medical Advisors, Fire, Safety and Health at 3 different locations. Develop local special needs supports based on flight wide needs. Act as lead on behalf of the Child and Youth Flight to chair the required Medical Advisor and team of experts to review each special need request for care.
