PLANS AND PROGRAMS ENGINEER - DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio Summary Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a command focal point for Digital Materiel management as relates to complex weapon system architectures for the Air Force and Weapon Systems acquisition and sustainment activities. Duties DUTY 1: Develops and recommends command-level systems engineering policy and procedures including those which affect top secret and special access technologies and programs. DUTY 2: Coordinates systems engineering matters with organizations such as AFMC Centers, other services and agencies, DoD, industry, and academia at all classification levels. DUTY 3: Serves as a consultant and expert in engineering work involved in the application of advance theories, concepts, and principles related to development or sustainment of systems. DUTY 4: represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Serves on special agency and inter-agency committees, coordinating groups where decisions, commitments, and conclusions have considerable impact on the long-range planning and establishment of future projects/programs.
