Duties The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a Joint Operations Specialist/ Medical Staff Planning Officer with expertise in the land and air domains in support of military Operations and Planning for a wide range of mission sets in Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA), Foreign Disaster Relief (FDR) and Homeland Defense (HD). Provides expertise in planning, developing and establishing Operations in an operational or Joint Task Force (JTF) Headquarters (HQ) for DSCA, FDR and HD missions. DUTIES: Serves as Joint Operations Plans Officer. As a member of the Joint Task Force (state, NCR, ALCOM, Operational HQ, etc.) Future Operations (FUOPs) or Current Operations (CUOPS) cells, develops dual status command leadership programs, processes and procedures with a focus on joint operations in the land and air domains. Serve as Joint Medical Support Operations Officer as a member of a JTF in the medical or surgeon staff section. Apply DoD military rated land and medical support expertise for exercises, training, and real-world operations, performing a broad range of highly complex joint analyses of orders, plans, policies, and issues which have a major impact on Homeland Security (HS) and Homeland Defense (HD) operations and plans. Plans, hosts, and conducts training/education for a variety of activities such as meetings, conferences, workshops, panels, training, and exercises at DOD, Joint Staff, states, services, component commands, subordinate commands
