About this role

The primary purpose of this position, Machine Tool Operator, WG-3414-91 potential Machinist WG-3414-11, is to manufacture complex and non-routine parts from various raw stock materials by operating Optiflex Laser System, 2D/3D scanning system, and conventional and CNC machine tools to solve unusual trade problems requiring a high degree of ingenuity and responsibility. Duties Manufacture complex and non-routine parts and items of equipment from raw stock of different metals, metal alloys, and other materials through the use of conventional and/or computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools, and precision handwork. Set up and operate a variety of conventional and/or computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and equipment. Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
