About this role

LEAD EMERGENCY SERVICES DISPATCHER Holloman AFB, New Mexico Summary Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to provide emergency response services to the 49th Wing assigned aircraft and personnel as well as police, fire and medical services to the public by answering emergency 911 calls and coordinate dispatch response with appropriate personnel and equipment for Fire, Medical, Hazardous Materials (HazMat), Confined Space, Wildland Fires. Duties Supervises and leads three or more emergency vehicle dispatchers in the performance of emergency 911-callreceiving and providing emergency dispatching services. Responds to emergency 911-call by providing emergency dispatching services. Performs Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) services to callers with medical emergencies. Maintains maps, checklists and charts, including automated programs. Maintains a current automated outage status file and ensures oncoming senior fire officials receive current outage reports. Operates and maintains telephones, automated data processing equipment, printers, recorders, facsimile equipment, and other devices installed in the dispatch center. Prepares and maintains reports and records relating to emergency responses. Prepares and maintains duty schedules and conducts training relating to Dispatch Center.
