About this role
JOPES PLANNING SPECIALIST Peterson AFB, Colorado Summary Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as exercise Joint Force Deployment Planning Specialist and Analyst and Exercise Planner for North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). Duties - Serves as exercise Joint Force Deployment Planning Specialist and Analyst, Global Force Management (GFM) and TPFDD technical expert and principal action officer for N&NC/J7 in the areas of force deployment, GFM, Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES), other related initiatives (e.g., Adaptive Planning and Execution), exercise and training requirements. - Leads and manages exercise GFM and JOPES Planning Workgroups, Force Requirement Coordination Groups (FRCG) and technical discussions with GFM and JOPES SMEs to define, select, and build the best approach for constructive GFM and JOPES emulation in NORAD and USNORTHCOM Homeland Defense (HD) and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) exercises. - Contributes to the development of Tier 1 and Tier 2 exercises by scheduling, resourcing, planning, designing, developing and executing exercises for NORAD and USNORTHCOM.
