Duties Summary: The primary purpose of this position is: Lead joint fires exercise planner to plan, design, develop, execute, and assess AF-wide operational level-of-warfare command and control exercises and experiments supporting Component Major Command (C-MAJCOM) and Component Numbered Air Force (C-NAF) level programs to provide a realistic environment to train Joint Force Air Component Commanders (JFACC), Commander Air Force Forces (COMAFFOR), and Air Component staffs, other service commanders and staffs, joint, and coalition organizations. Duties: Plans, organizes, and manages a wide range of complex activities involved in the AF-wide C-MAJCOM/C-NAF Air Component Exercise Program and other service's (Army, Navy, Marine Corps) Component exercise programs. Leads response cell during execution events to control the exercise injects and storylines to meet training requirements. Records training audience progress and performance to meet DoD, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, Air Force, C-MAJCOM, and service component training requirements. Monitors, evaluates, and actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques. Represents 505 CTS with a variety of command and functional area organizations.
