About this role
FINANCIAL SPECIALIST Peterson AFB, Colorado Summary Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is: Serves as Financial Specialist and Travel Program Manager for HQ NORAD and USNORTHCOM and Subordinate Commands' travel and accounting programs to include the Defense Travel System (DTS), Government Travel Card, Defense Enterprise Automated Management System (DEAMS), Defense Agency Initiative (DAI) and legacy financial systems. Duties Command travel program manager to include the Defense Travel System (DTS) and Government Travel Card (GTC). Serves as the lead DTS ODTA and GTC Agency Program Coordinator (APC) expert responsible for implementation, integration and problem resolution. Analyzes data within Air Force, Defense Agency Initiative and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) to ensure data accuracy and audit compliance. Manages complex program and budget functions and operations for NORAD and USNORTHCOM assigned programs. Develops, prepares and presents briefings, correspondence, position papers for all levels of command management and leadership while complying with security directives regarding dissemination and security of classified information.
