About this role

Deputy Director Strategic Planning Arlington, Virginia Summary Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for IMPORTANT additional information. The primary purpose of this position is to plan and direct all Department of the Air Force (DAF) auditing operations in the broad acquisition, logistics, and financial areas, ensuring compliance with Government Auditing Standards. Duties The Deputy Director, Plans develops and prescribes a process that institutionalizes Air Force (AF) long-range and strategic force planning; encourages, captures, and integrates innovative thinking on the use of air, space and cyber power; and generates coherent, force and posture planning for the AF 5-30 years in the future. The incumbent ensures AF plans comply with strategic guidance as articulated in various National and DoD guidance. The incumbent also directs the development and dissemination of AF Force Planning policy guidance and the formulation of long range planning and strategic basing efforts. Education Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is desired. A master's or advanced degree from an accredited institution is highly desired. An undergraduate technical degree or an advanced degree in either a technical or management field is highly desired.
